With only two weeks left in Cape Town, Nick & I found little of that southern comfort food to sooth the soul. Lefty's has the biker bar feel of an 'off the highway' dive, with a hint of that hipster vibe. Recently opened in December, it was pretty empty during lunchtime on Saturday. However, I'm convinced it's still an undiscovered gem.
Mismatched chairs & loud music complimented our soul food. We ordered fried chicken & waffles & a pulled pork sandwich the only thing missing was a glass of that southern sweet tea. Both were outstanding. Salty fried chicken & bacon complimenting the sweet syrupy waffles & tender pulled pork with crunchy slaw. Food that brings back memories of my family back in the states. Lefty's also features baby back ribs, barbecue brisket, & burgers making it that perfect spot for a late saturday brunch after a late Friday night.
