what you need:
1 slice of prosciutto will cover about 3-4 asparagus spears.
light cream cheese
salt and pepper
what to do:
Heat pan with water until boiling (a shallow pan works best)
Cook asparagus for about 2-3 minutes with a sprinkle of garlic power, salt & pepper (so that the asparagus still has a little crunch)
Strain asparagus. Mix cream cheese with a little pepper, so it speckles throughout the cream cheese.
Cut prosciutto into 2 inch slices. Add about 1/2 teaspoon of cream cheese to prosciutto slice (don't go crazy measuring, more cheese is always ok...) . Roll prosciutto around asparagus spears. Voila, one of the best snacks ever.
This little snack is one of my family's favorite. The perfect appetizer you won't stress over & your guests will think you're a genius (I can already tell you're smart for reading my blog). Easy to make & delectable, you'll have so much time to hang with the guests or eat 15 of them before the party starts...
I also like to make these for lunch or keep them in my fridge to snack on (if others don't eat them first!). They keep for a few days & when your dying to snack, they are a good alternative to chips or fatty snack foods. Gotta love those vitamin A, C, & K rich asparagus snacks. Snack on my friend, snack on.
A working girl in love with good food, drink & good conversation.
